Fashion Friday and Thrift Store Goodies!

Today is fashion Friday, just head over to our fashion page for todays fashion goodies!

Went shopping for a new camera and went thrift store shopping today. Did not get to spend a lot of time browsing but I did find some goodies!

   

Love the heart pillow! That will be going in Annas crib and I love Dr. Seuss books! I am on the hunt for Pippy Long Stocking books so I think I am going to head back out and try different thrift stores tomorrow. Hopefully Annalisa will be in a better mood, she has not been in a such a good mood today. It may be due to her not taking a nap all day today. It is now 8:17 p.m. and she has maybe took a 30 min nap. This little girl fights sleep so dang bad!

Bows Bows and Bows

I love bows! Especially on the mission to find new ones for Anna and make them myself! Anyone else dress their little ones up in big flowers and bows?

Mountains

I love the mountains! I would do anything to be able to live up in the mountains. This is a beautiful picture (I did not take) and makes me want to move there that much more! The local mountains where I live have a absolutely amazing scene! Just getting to the top, you can see the clouds hovering over the trees below and the only visibility of a house is the lights shining through their windows. It's so quiet and peaceful, I don't think I would come down to town much lol. I do not need the city or have to be into everything to be happy. 

When I was younger we use to take a lot of trips up to the mountains, parking along side of the road and peering over the sides of the mountains. That is where my love started. Actually, I could move to Seattle, I could deal with the rain and the overcast. Now this idea is not suitable for many, I know that everyone I know would prefer the sun and the warm weather and not that much rain. However, I could find the joy in living there. 

What inspires you?

Rather if your are a avid writer, a painter or just a creator of crafts what inspires you on your next piece? I love making hair accessories and my daughter plays a big part in this, just looking at her gives me new ideas for a bow or head band. When I want to paint, it could be something I see on the internet, something I cam across in nature but many things play a big part in my painting. However, when I write in my novel, it's all in my mind where everything comes from. Nothing inspires me to write, my cooky mind just comes up with some great things! 

 

Speaking of Novel, I have neglected my writing for about 2 months just to be able to paint and catch up on the hair accessories and pillows I make for sale. Which in return I can proudly say I have had some great customers when it comes to my store. Between raising my 5-month old daughter, crafting,painting and writing, I have to usually neglect a thing or two at a time since my daughter comes before all of this.

 

    

My chubby cheek, bald, most awesome daughter ever! She is my inspiration on learning how to paint portraits! I am far from knowing how to paint a portrait but with practice I am sure I can get this!

Great grandmother and her great grand daughter <3

 

My grandmother went into the hospital the day before mothers day, unresponsive. At almost 84 of course she gave everyone a scare. She has been staying in a nursing home, and has yet to meet my daughter. This broke my heart thinking something has happened to my grand mother before she got to meet her great grand daughter. But thankfully on Mothers Day she woke up and was all smiles and talkative like nothing happen and she got to meet Annalisa! I got to capture this beautiful picture of them holding hands! Absolutely love it! <3<3<3<3
